Let’s invent our own new kind of superhero! What initially sounded like a simple task turns out to be more complicated than expected... Based on superheroes from pop culture, with references to ancient classical heroes and always with an eye on current socio-political developments, a modern superhero is created who confronts all the evils of the modern world. What superpowers does he need? Does he fly? Does he swim? Or does he walk on water? What gender should he be? Is it even important what he looks like and what he does, or is it not much more relevant to ask why he does what he does?

10:30 JOHANES DOKTOR FAUST, OR A FRIGHTFUL COMEDY WITH DEVILS – Magamura Workshop, Hottó, Hungary
This experimental piece is a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic medieval morality play, dressed in modern visual and musical attire. It evokes the tradition of 19th-century Czech folk marionette theatre and the peek-a-boo stages of "family puppet theatres."

Eötvös Károly Library, Kisfaludy hall
10:30 TRANSPORT: DEPARTURE – Ljubljana Puppet Theatre, Ljubljana, Slovenia
The genre-diverse performances, characterised by hyper-realistic miniature visual imagery and complex soundscapes, unite audiences in an intimate confrontation with the pressing issues of contemporary society. 14:00 SESSION BULGAKOV – Ljubljana Puppet Theatre, Ljubljana, Slovenia
Session Bulgakov is a reconstruction of the novel, set up on the dynamics of contrasts between burlesque and abstract images of object theatre, which remained on the ruins of the confusion, left behind by Satan and his accomplices. In its fragmentation and through the rhytmization of words, gestures and sounds it combines the associations on today’s obsessed world and the tragic side of everyman with his problems, fears and desires.
